NDC Set To Mark 42nd Anniversary Of June 4 Uprising In Accra


The Leadership of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) says is set and prepared to mark the 42nd Anniversary of the June 4 uprising in Accra.


According to a communique signed by the Director of Communications, Kakra Essamuah, due to the rising cases of covid-19, it will ensure that guests who get the opportunity to be at the event adhere to the strict covid protocols.




"On Friday, June 4, at 7.30 am, there will be a wreath-laying ceremony at Dr Bannerman's Park, Korle Gonno followed by a virtual anniversary lecture at 10 am on the theme: the relevance of June 4 to contemporary Ghanaian democracy," it said.


The virtual anniversary lecture which will be held at the NDC's National Headquarters, Adabraka will have Johnson Asiedu-Nketiah, General Secretary, Dr William Ahadzi, Rector of the party school and Fritz Baffuor, former Minister of Information.




The virtual anniversary lecture will be crowned with brief remarks from Dr Ben Kumbuor, former Minister of Defence and Attorney-General, Hon. Dan Abodakpi, former Minister of Trade and Member of Parliament, Dr Zanetor Rawlings, Member of Parliament, Korle Klottey Constituency and Comrade Shine Gaveh.


The NDC says all members, supporters and sympathizers of the great party are to take note accordingly.
