National Chief Imam Endorses Nima Excellence Award Magazine


The National Chief Imam, Dr Sheikh Osman Nuhu Sharbutu has endorsed the Nima Excellence Award Magazine #NEA after the Organisers paid a courtesy call on him at his residence in Accra.


According to the Organizers, they approached the Chief Imam to seek for his blessings and approval.


ThinkNewsOnline has gathered that this year's edition which is the 3rd will be celebrating the Chief Imam and his lifetime achievements as a leader of the Muslim community in the country.


The Chief Imam however lauded the initiative and approved of he being celebrated in this year's 3rd edition.



He offered his prayers and blessings to the Organisers of Nima Excellence Awards and assured them of his support as well as backing ahead the virtual launch of this year's edition.


Personal Aide of the National Chief Imam, Alhaji Khuzaima M. Osman said "The Chief Imam is impressed with the magazine. He is also grateful for the wonderful opportunity to interact with young Muslims and Zongo indigenes with such great aspirations, and ideas of celebrating the hard work and achievements of great people"


The Nima Excellence Awards is a community-based awards scheme, which celebrates hard working people and organizations in Nima, Maamobi, Accra New-Town, Pig Farm, Kotobabi, Kanda and Ruga among others.

The awards cover areas of endeavours such as; education, business, politics, sports, media, arts and entertainment, and social work.


As a key part of the awards, the magazine will serve as an official mouthpiece which will project the profile of awardees and details of the events.


The third edition will feature a detailed profile of the Chief Imam and his lifelong journey which churned him through to become an exceptional leader and icon of peaceful coexistence among people.



This year's edition will see ten personalities receiving autographs of the Chief Imam.


The virtual launch will host various Zongo leaders, youth activists, previous awardees and many across the global.
