"My 'strategist comment' was targeted at John Kumah and not Bawumia" - Ken Agyapong

New Patriotic Party (NPP) Presidential Hopeful, Kennedy Agyapong has clarified that his 'strategist comment' was targeted at the Deputy Finance Minister, John Kumah and not Vice President, Mahamudu Bawumia.

He made the clarification on an Accra-based television channel on Wednesday.

"My comments during my campaign had nothing to do with my fellow candidates. John Kumah said we will not go to IMF in the morning but by 2pm, Ghana had gone to IMF, that is why I came at him"

"Who are the strategists?"

"Journalists don't probe but just say anything. I was throwing jabs because they were also doing same. I was throwing jabs at John Kumah and not Bawumia"

"Give Ken Agyapong benefit of the doubt and ask him why he is saying these things"

The Presidential Hopeful also revealed that his strategy is centred on patriotism, honesty and discipline.

"Many people misconstrued honesty for arrogance. Some Ghanaians are not patriotic even our lifestyle"

He also rubbished claims that Ghana was poor.

"Ghana is not poor. Foreigners have showed us that Ghana is indeed rich"

"Dishonesty in the country is killing our businesses"
