"My Love For Music Started From My SHS Days" - Kofi Jamar (VIDEO)


Ghanaian Rapper, Singer, and Songwriter, Derrick Osei Kuffour Prempeh known in showbiz as Kofi Jamar has revealed that his love and passion for music started during his Senior High School heydays.


According to Kofi Jamar, his love for the act grew so stronger leaving him with no option than to sometimes skip school for the studios.


Speaking on an Accra-based television station, the rapper said "In Kumasi, Bantana has been tagged as the entertainment hub. It was there, I discover that I had a love and passion for music. The love for the act grew so stronger that I had no option than to sometimes skip school for the studios"


The Artist added that although his parents were against venturing into music, he managed to convince them to believe and buy into his vision.


"Shot-out to Boss. He embraced me and allowed me to do more recording. He even housed me. I had to leave home. My parents initially were worried but later, they came to terms with reality" he noted.


"I had some underground hits and I kept on pushing. My efforts were recognized of which one Nana Biamah discovered me and asked me to come to Accra. In Accra, I had a collaboration with Medikal dubbed 'Asuoden' then had one with Sefa also dubbed 'We dey up'
