Information reaching ThinkNewsOnline indicates that the Ghana Police Service has been hit by a massive shake-up.
The shake-up has affected some positions of the Police Management Board and some regional commanders.
It is emerging that COP Mr. Nathan Kofi Boakye has now been elevated to the position of Director-General for Legal and Prosecutions.
COP Mr. Paul Manly Awini is now the Director-General for Research, Planning and Transformation whiles DCOP Mr. Johnson Oyirifi-Akrofi takes over as the Eastern Police Regional Commander.
ThinkNewsOnline has also gathered that DCOP Mr. Frederick Adu-Anim has been relocated to the Director-General for Information, Communication Technology (ICT) leaving DCOP Mr. Paul Ayittey as the North East Police Regional Commander.
DCOP Barima Tweneboah Sasraku II is now the Tema Police Regional Commander whiles DCOP Mr. Afful Boakye-Yiadom is now the Accra Police Regional Commander.
Further checks reveals that DCOP Mr. Charles Domanban now head as Oti Police Regional Commander whiles DCOP Mrs. Habiba Akyere Twumasi -Sarpong is now the Central Police Regional Commander.
