Manchester United Stars, Paul Pogba And Amad Diallo Wave Palestine Flag After Premier League Match

Manchester United Manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer backed Paul Pogba and Amad Diallo's pro-Palestine solidarity gesture during a match with Fulham at Old Trafford on Tuesday.

The pair held up a Palestinian flag together during the team's post-match lap of honor.

"We have players from different backgrounds, different cultures, different countries and I think we need to respect their views if they differ from someone else's," Solskjaer was quoted by Manchester Evening News as saying.

"If my players think about other things than football that's a positive thing and I think we've seen that with some of the players before that they do care about. Marcus Rashford, for example, the difference he's made. We respect their right to have a different view."

Taking to Facebook after the game, France and United midfielder Pogba wrote: "Let’s keep our world safe and free from violence Pray for Palestine ."

Pogba and Amad are the latest Premier League stars to express solidarity with the Palestinian cause.

Leicester City's Hamza Choudhury and Wesley Fofana also waved the Palestinian flag after winning the FA Cup against Chelsea on Saturday.

Despite calls from pro-Israel groups for the Football Association {FA) to discipline the players for their gestures, the governing body clarified that it would take action.
