LOCAL NEWS: Social Media Reacts To Dag Heward Mills' Betting Comment

Some scores of social media users have shared mixed reactions over the comments from the General Overseer of Lighthouse Chapel International, Dag Heward Mills on sports betting.


According to some users, betting has become the source of livelihood for some youth adding the same monies won that are being used as offertory during Sunday services.


On Facebook, Fred Tealeaf Tekpor said "Does he know where the people that bring offertory to his church get the money from??"



Imanuel Anzy Quaqmire also said "Others have made it through the means and I know of some. The road to success or financial gains is different for everyone"


Deric Larye Anang said, "Dey there..."


Daakyehene Kusi Agyemang-Badu also said "Mengyae an m3 y3 d3n ato k)l3hyen..... Y33 twaa awu la........"


Jerry Boss added "Yet he received offertory from prostitutes, arm robbers, gamblers etc"



Se Fa said "He doesn't know warrisgoin on. He should open opportunity for his members to give testimony on betting and he will change his mind"


Michael Kwabena Appah added "Someone who takes collection is saying this....ayoo"


On the other hand, Akwei Amoako-Andoh who agreed with the preacher said "You can't make successful plans with bet.... It's good advice"

Using himself as an example, Pastor Dag Heward-Mills said "I want to encourage everyone under the sound of my voice. When I was young, I used to go to horse races. You see
