After completing the day’s job, residents told Adom News that three of the children dived into the river for a bath but failed to realize the river was full.

The remaining child, upon realizing his brothers were drowning screamed for help and their mother jumped in for the rescue. Madam Akyere, mother of the kids managed to rescue one of the three children before drowning. It took the efforts of Abusuapanin of Agona Braha Be Kumi Me, Peter Nyadigbe, and other residents to retrieve the three bodies.

Peter Botwe, the husband and father of the deceased, was traumatized by the news. However, the bodies of the deceased have been sent to the Swedru Government Hospital morgue awaiting autopsy.

Meanwhile, Madam Ursula Owusu-Ekuful, Minister of communication has said former President John Dramani Mahama should know what to do if he wished to contest the 2020 presidential election results.

She said if the former President does not abide by these agreed terms, the trust Ghanaians have in politicians especially will be broken forever adding that it would go a long way to shake the foundation of Ghana’s democracy.

The minister said this during the thanksgiving service at Mount Olivet Church during the weekend to express gratitude to God for the victory in the just-ended general election. She said, “if he is contesting the results he should gather his evidence and send it to the appropriate quarters for redress, and that is the court so the laws of the state can be used to dispense justice”.
