LOCAL NEWS: 531,705 Students Begin BECE Today


ThinkNews Online can confirm that 531,705 final-year Junior High School (JHS) students across the country will be writing this year’s Basic Education Certificate Examinations (BECE) on Monday September 14.


Out of the 531,705 final-year Junior high school (JHS) students, 269,419 are male while 262,286 are female.

It is emerging that the students will be starting their paper with English Language and Religious and Moral Education (RME). ThinkNews Online has also gathered that 2,007 supervisors from the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) will be assisted by 1,719 other supervisors to invigilate the students across the country.

The exams will end on Friday, September 18.
