"Let's Fix Ghana Together" – Ken Ofori-Atta To Ghanaians (Pictures/Video)


The Minister for Finance, Ken Ofori-Atta is calling on Ghanaians to join the Akufo-Addo government in fixing the various problems facing the country.


According to him, the government cannot do it all hence a collective effort.


Speaking at a press briefing on Sunday in Accra, he said “Let us fix Ghana together.”


The Minister added that it can only be achieved if the populace does away with their political affiliations and work together towards one goal.


Reacting to the #FixTheCountry brouhaha, he commended the various leaders of the group adding that their actions have demonstrated that they are true patriots of the land.


“In extraordinary times you should expect exceptional leadership from your administration, government and truly believe we cannot ensure exceptional leadership without the collective efforts from all of us. So I commend the youth for calling on government and leaders to be at their best. This shows the patriotism of Ghanaian youth, echoing the president’s call to be citizens and not a spectator"


The Finance Minister hinted that the government will be working hand-in-hand with stakeholders to solve the problems facing the country.


It will be recalled that some scores of Ghanaians including celebrities took to their various social media platforms charging the government to fix the country.


The scores of Ghanaians rode on the back of a #FixTheCountry hashtag.



The hashtag generated lots of mixed reactions with a sector of Ghanaians defending the government while others lambasted the Akufo-Addo administration.
