Kofi TV CEO, Kofi Adomah suffers accidental gunshot injury during ceremony

Ghanaian journalist and founder of Kofi TV, Kofi Adomah, has sustained an accidental gunshot injury to his eye during a ceremony in Dormaa.


The incident reportedly occurred when musketry fired shots as part of the event.


According to sources, Kofi Adomah was positioned near the musketry when the unfortunate accident happened, with gunpowder striking his eye. The exact timing of the incident remains unclear.


The news was disclosed by Afia Pokuaa, popularly known as Vim Lady, a colleague and close friend of the journalist.


In a Facebook post on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, she expressed her concern and offered prayers for his swift recovery.


“Yesu, Kofi, I’m praying for your full recovery and healing. Kofi Adomah, I have been panicking since hearing the news that you were shot in the eye. May the Lord work overtime on you,” she wrote.


Kofi Adomah, who also serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Kofi TV, is well-known for his dedication to impactful journalism and his active presence in Ghana's media space.


Details about his current condition and medical response are yet to be confirmed, but the incident has sparked widespread concern and support from fans, colleagues, and the general public.


Authorities are expected to provide further information on the circumstances surrounding the incident.
