Former Central Regional Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Allotey Jacobs says he has quit the party and hence does not want to hear anything about them.
According to him, he quit the party on his own and was not sacked as speculated.
Speaking to an Accra based television network, he said "I quit the party as a Former Regional Chairman. I am a social commentator now. I don't want to hear anything about NDC, I will rather want to hear things about Prof. Mills"
"I am okay now. I feel free not being part of the party"
Mr. Allotey also rubbished claims about being sidelined by the NDC.
"Party can't sideline me. I am an Institution myself. They can't sideline me, I sidelined the party"
"I am very happy not belonging to NDC" he noted.
Mr. Allotey Jacobs made these remarks at the back of the 10th Anniversary celebration of Late President John Evans Fiifi Atta-Mills.
