Thinknewsonline.com can confirm that the Minister for Food and Agriculture, Dr. Akoto Afriyie has officially resigned from his position.
The Food and Agriculture Minister tendered in his resignation letter to President Akufo-Addo on Tuesday, January 10.
His resignation comes few days after Former Trade and Industry Minister, Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen also resigned from his position under the Akufo-Addo administration.
The resignation will help Dr. Akoto Afriyie to pay much attention to his Presidential ambition.
Dr. Akoto Afriyie believes, he is the right candidate to lead the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), to victory in the 2024 Presidential elections.
President Akufo-Addo has however accepted the resignation and wished him well.
