JUST IN: Armed Robbers Make Away With Sofo Azorka’s Toyota Landcruiser V8

News coming indicated that armed robbers have made away with the Toyota Landcruiser V8 being driven by the NDC Vice Chairman Chief Sofo Azorka.

According to sources close to him, the vehicle with registration number GT 5533-17 was driven away at his private residence at Gbanyamni, in the Tamale Metropolis in the early hours of Tuesday by the robbers in what appears to be a co-coordinated and stage managed attack.

The incident has been reported to the Police but Residents of Tamale have launched a manhunt for the robbers.

Meanwhile, the family has issued a statement to set the records straight.

Below is the statement LATEST ON THE THEFT OF AZORKA’S CAR* The robbery was clearly planned and executed. Hon. Azorka had just returned from a meeting this morning. When he got to his house, he got down to open his gate. He noticed that, a strange person had entered the house.

Hon. Azorka chased him to ascertain the motive for entering the house only to see the “thief” jumped over the wall at the back of the house. Before Hon. Azorka returned to his car, the other “thieves” who had laid ambush outside, had jumped into the car and sped away.

Hon. Azorka’s documents, unspecified amount of money, phones and other accessories were in the car at the time of the robbery.
