J.J. Rawlings Goes Home On January 27

ThinkNews Online can confirm that Late Former President Jeremiah John Rawlings will be laid to rest on January 27, 2021.

This is according to a communique signed Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration to Diplomatic Missions, International Organizations, and Honorary Consulates.

In the statement, it said "Burial Service on 27th January 2021 from 9:00 a.m to 11:00 a.m at the Independence Square"

The communique further explained that, the remains of the Late Ex. Prez. J.J Rawlings will be laid in state from 24th to 26th January 2021, at the Foyer of the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC) from 9:00a.m to 5p.m daily.

"Mass burial on 26th January 2021 from 9:00a.m to 11:00a.m at the Holy Spirit Cathedral, Accra; Burial Service on 27th January 2021 from 9:00a.m to 11:00a.m at the Independence Square, Accra" it added.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration says it will avail itself of the opportunity to renew to all Diplomatic Missions, International Organizations and Honorary Consulates accredited to the Republic of Ghana the assurances of its highest consideration.

It will be recalled that the Late Former President Rawlings died on November 12, 2020, after a short illness at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital in Accra.

He was 73-years-old.
