Interruptions In Power Supply For System Improvement Works Begins Today

The Management of the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) says it will from today, Monday, 10 begin its much-talked-about interruptions in power supply for system improvement works.

In a release sighted by Thinknewsonline.com, it said "Following the earlier notice of the need to interrupt power supply for eight (8) days from Monday, 10th May to Monday, 17th May 2021, to enable the tie-in of the newly constructed Pokuase Bulk Supply Point (BSP) to GRIDCo's 330kV transmission line"

According to ECG, some affected areas in Group A include: Nsakina, Oduman, Odorkor Official Town, Awoshie, Odorgonno, Mallam Abease, Top Base, Kokompe, Zamrama Line, Banana Inn, Chorkor, Korle Gonno, Gbegbeysee, Shaibu, Kwashi-Bu, Abeka Lapaz, Nii Boye Town"

Others include; Alhaji, Sowutuom, Ablekuma New Town, Dansoman Control Market, GBC Staff Quarters, Old Barrier, Opeikuma, Ashalaja, and Lamptey Mills
