The Comptroller-General of Immigration (CGI), Mr. Kwame Asuah Takyi, has commended the concerted efforts of security agencies working together at the nation's borders.
His remarks came during the commissioning of the renovated Mognori and Pulimakom Border Posts, a key event in his ongoing tour of Ghana's five northern regions.

In his address, Mr. Takyi underscored the importance of heightened vigilance as the country approaches its general elections.
He urged all security agencies to intensify their efforts to prevent unauthorized individuals from crossing the borders and potentially disrupting national peace.

"Whether you belong to Immigration, the National Intelligence Bureau, Port Health, Plant Quarantine, Customs, National Security, or the Narcotics Control Commission, our paramount concern must always be the safety and security of our nation," Mr. Takyi emphasized.
The CGI's tour, which has already covered the Northern, North East, Upper West, and Upper East regions, aims to bolster morale and assess operational readiness.

In the Upper West region, Mr. Takyi visited several key locations, including Missiga and Kulungugu under the Bawku Sector, as well as the Zebila Command.
He held a durbar with officers at the Regional Headquarters, where he praised their dedication and encouraged continued diligence.

Further stops in the Upper West included the Tumu Sector and checkpoints at Nero and Lane, where Mr. Takyi inspected ongoing projects and engaged with border officials.
His visit also featured a courtesy call on the Overlord of the Wala Traditional Council, Wa Naa Fuseini Seidu Pelpuo IV.

The CGI was warmly received by the Council of Elders, led by the Busa Naa, Ali Seidu Pelpuo.
Throughout his tour, Mr. Takyi has been focused on strengthening inter-agency cooperation and ensuring all personnel are prepared for the upcoming electoral period.

His efforts reflect a commitment to maintaining border security and supporting the officers who play a crucial role in safeguarding the nation.
