ICAG, AWAG honour COP Maame Yaa Tiwaa Addo Danquah for championing women in accounting

The Institute of Chartered Accountants, Ghana (ICAG), in collaboration with the Association of Women Accountants, Ghana (AWAG), has paid a glowing tribute to COP Maame Yaa Tiwaa Addo Danquah for her unwavering commitment to the advancement of women in the accounting profession.
The recognition came during the 45th ICAG Graduation and Admission Ceremony, where COP Addo Danquah’s contributions were celebrated as both impactful and inspiring.
A former ICAG Council Member and past President of AWAG, COP Addo Danquah has for years sponsored the Overall Best Female Candidate awards — a gesture that continues to motivate and elevate women in the field.
At this year’s ceremony, the prestigious awards were presented to Ms. Adwoa Nyamekye Agyei (Level 1) and Ms. Keziah Lartiorkor Lartey (Level 2) for their outstanding academic achievements.
The awards were handed over by ICAG Vice President, Rev. Dr. Cynthia Sallah, and AWAG President, Mrs. Akua Bonsu, in a ceremony marked by celebration and inspiration.
In a joint statement, ICAG and AWAG described COP Addo Danquah as “a true definition of an empowered woman, empowering the profession.”
Her leadership and consistent support have played a vital role in opening doors for many young women and promoting gender equity within the accounting sector.
