"I'm Grateful For The Opportunity To Serve" - C.K. Akonnor

Former Black Stars Coach, Charles Akonnor has thanked President Akufo-Addo, the Sports Ministry, his former boss, Kwesi Appiah and the leadership of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) for the opportunity given him to serve the nation.

According to C.K. Akonnor, the opportunity gave him the chance to showcase to the world his talent of which he gladly executed.

In a tweet sighted by Thinknewsonline.com, Mr. Akonnor said "I'm grateful to H.E President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, the Sports Ministry, my former boss Kwesi Appiah and the leadership of the GFA for the opportunity to serve"

C.K Akonnor also ceased the opportunity to thank his colleagues he worked with, the players and Ghanaians.

"Wishing the team all the best. Thank you Ghana" he concluded.

It will be recalled that Coach C.K Akonnor was appointed the Black Stars head coach to lead the country to the next World Cup.

The GFA, however, on Monday issued a communique saying it has sacked the Coach.

The sack generated mixed reactions in social media as a section of the public bashed the GFA whiles others made fun of the dismissal.

It is however emerging that the Coach is yet to be paid some amount of money.
