The 4th Nursing and Midwifery Leaders and Managers Conference has been climaxed with the 3rd Excellence and Hall of Fame Awards ceremony at Ho in the Volta Region.
The Awards night saw 25 nurses and midwives managers and leaders across the country received various awards in 6 different categories.
The aim of the awards is to recognise and celebrate exceptional nurses and midwives whose contributions have significantly impacted healthcare delivery in the country.
The Deputy Minister for Health, Hon. Tina Naa Ayeley Mensah guest of honour at the ceremony, addressing awardees and participants indicated that the MoH fully sponsored the awards as a demonstration of the Ministry’s appreciation to the contribution of nurses and midwives role in our health care system who represent about 60% of the overall health workforce.
“I wish to congratulate all the awardees for their nominations and achievements. I hope that this recognition will further motivate you to excel more and make us proud”, she said.
The Deputy Minister commended Dr. Yeboah and the planning committee for assembling about 300 distinguished nursing and midwifery leaders and managers across the country as well as key partners and stakeholders to deliberate on national health issues.
