The Ghana National Blood Service is calling on all and sundry to engage in blood donation exercise twice every year to help support the blood bank save lives.
The Blood bank believes it is important for everyone to support the blood bank with their blood as they claim the blood bank is challenged with blood shortage.
They made this known when the Ministry of Information together with the Press Pool organized the 2nd Edition of the Health Screening and Blood Donation Exercise today at the ministry to support the Ghana National Blood Service to save life.
Speaking to the media during the exercise, the Principal Blood Donor Recruitment officer at the Ghana National Blood Service, Madam Joyce Oppong-Adu stressed that, they are working tirelessly to increase the blood at the bank as she call on all and sundry to make it a habit of donating blood.
Leading the donation exercise, the Deputy Minister for Information, Fatimatu Abubakar commended all those who took part in the exercise.
She urged others to also take interest in the exercise of donating blood as she says, it will help save those in need.
Some of the donor partners who supported the exercise also expressed their desire to join the Ministry of Information to organize the donation exercise.
They believe Ghanaians must support in donating blood.
