Hearts of Oak And Kotoko To Make $140,000USD Each From World Cup

Hearts of Oak and Kotoko are both expected to receive $10,000 per day from FIFA after Otto Addo confirmed that Daniel Afriyie Barnie and Danlad Ibrahim are in Ghana's squad for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

The initiative forms part of the Clubs Benefit Programme by FIFA.

The Club Benefits Programme is part of a broader collaboration agreement between FIFA and the European Club Association, which was first launched ahead of the 2010 FIFA World Cup and further extended in 2015 to cover both the 2018 and 2022 FIFA World Cups.

This means both of these clubs will earn a minimum of $140,000 from the mundial even if the Black Stars fail to progress from the group stages.
