The Government of Ghana has announced that it has placed a zero rate VAT on locally produced sanitary pads.
The Minister of Finance, Ken Ofori-Atta made this announcement on Wednesday while presenting the 2024 budget on the floor of Parliament.
He also stressed that government places zero rate VAT on locally produced sanitary pads;
Mr. Ofori-Atta hinted that government has granted import duty waivers for raw materials for the local manufacture of sanitary pads.
