The Finance Ministry says subsequent to the directive by President Akufo-Addo, it is hereby announcing engagement with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) to support Ghana's economic programme.
According to the Ministry of Finance, a delegation from the Fund is scheduled to arrive in Accra on Tuesday 5th July, 2022 to commence in-person meetings with the Government of Ghana on Wednesday 6th July, 2022.
In a communique signed by the Public Relations Unit of the Finance Ministry, it said "The Ministry further takes this opportunity to assure Ghanaians of the Government's commitment to successfully negotiate a programme with the IMF in the coming months"
The communique further explained that it is on support of Ghana's economic recovery.
