GLICO Life pays claim of GHc15,000 to family of slain military officer, Imoro Sheriff (PICS)

GLICO Life, a subsidiary of the GLICO Group Limited has paid a claim of GHC15,000 to the family of the slain military officer, Imoro Sheriff, who met his untimely at Ashaiman, a community in the Greater Accra Region.


According to GLICO Life, late Imoro Sheriff was a policyholder under its GLICO Education Endowment Plan.


The bereaved family of the slain soldier were invited to Burma Camp, 154 Armour Recce Regiment where they received the claim.


Speaking on behalf of GLICO Life, Chief Sales Officer, John Ekar Smart said "Imoro Sheriff's death is a great loss to our country, and we are saddened by the news. However, we are proud to have fulfilled our commitment to his family by paying the claims in view of his demise"


Thinknewsonline.com has gathered that although the sum assured the slain military man was GH 11,842.21, GLICO Life, in the spirit of empathy, increased the value to GHC 15,000.00.


He added that the payment was not just about fulfilling its obligation as a company, but it is also a reaffirmation of its commitment to the general public, particularly the military community.


Mr. Smart said "We are proud to have served Imoro and his family, and will continue to strive to provide excellent service to our policyholders and their families"


Commander, 15 Armoured Brigade, Brigadier General Ben Gah praised GLICO Life for the presentation.


He charged the general public including Military Officers to sign onto insurance policies in case of any future eventualities.


The bereaved family thanked the Military High Command and GLICO Life for the gesture.


GLICO Life is the first of six subsidiaries under the GLICO Group Limited.
