Gladson Awako Wants Great Olympics Return, Ready To Meet Hearts of Oak Officials Over Possible Move

Embattled Hearts of Oak new signing, Gladson Awako is open to joining his former club Accra Great Olympics.

As earlier reported by Ghana's leading football website GHANAsoccernet.com four days ago on the player's decision to quit the club barely a month after signing for the Ghanaian giants, the player and his agent will meet officials of Hearts of Oak to make a proposal for his release.

The Ghana U-20 World Cup winner is reported to have quit the club due to personal issues. Gladson Awako and his agent Yusif Chibsah will hold a meeting with Hearts of Oak officials and hope to find an amicable solution to the matter where the player can make a u-turn to the 'Oly dade' boys.

The midfielder is ready to refund the contract sum to the Ghana Premier League champions as well as the monies paid to his former club Great Olympics in his transfer.

The Former TP Mazembe midfielder has called his former gaffer Annor Walker and His Excellency Amarkai Amartefio on a potential return to the club.

However, Hearts of Oak have released a statement on the player's reported exit indicating he should resolve his personal issues and rejoin the team. Awako joined the Phobians on a two-year deal after ending his deal with city rivals Accra Great Olympics.

The midfielder has been phenomenal since he returned to the domestic top-flight last season. He raked in six goals and provided seven assists as the Wonder Club finished an impressive sixth position on the league log.
