Madam Gifty Affenyi-Dadzie, a distinguished veteran journalist and the longest-serving president of the Ghana Journalists Association (GJA), has reached a remarkable milestone by being called to the bar at the age of 66.

Mrs. Affenyi-Dadzie's illustrious career spans journalism, business, and civic leadership.


As a journalist, she has made significant contributions to the media landscape in Ghana, earning the respect and admiration of her peers.

Her tenure as GJA president is marked by her dedication to journalistic integrity and the advancement of press freedom.


Beyond journalism, Mrs. Affenyi-Dadzie is a successful businesswoman and serves as the Prayer Director for Women’s Aglow, a prominent Christian women’s fellowship in Ghana.


Her commitment to faith and community service underscores her multifaceted personality and dedication to societal well-being.


Currently, Mrs. Affenyi-Dadzie was a Former Council of State member under President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo's administration.

She also serves as a Council of State member with the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), contributing her wealth of experience to regional governance and development.


Her accomplishments have not gone unrecognized. Mrs. Affenyi-Dadzie is a recipient of the National Award, the Order of Volta, one of the highest honors bestowed in Ghana, celebrating her exceptional service to the nation.
