GHS Develops New Strategy To Combat Surge In COVID-19 New Variant (VIDEO+PICS)


The Ghana Health Service says it is rolling out additional strategies in the wake of a new surge in COVID-19 cases.


Ghana is currently dealing with 2512 active cases with fears that the delta variant could push the country into a third wave of infections.




However speaking at a news conference at the Ministry of Information in Accra, the Director-General of the Ghana Health Service, Dr. Patrick Kumah Aboagye noted that additional strategies are being deployed to contain the wave.


He revealed that some of the strategies include enhancing risk communication in the various communities and also embark on stakeholder consultations on the need to adhering to the already existing COVID-19 protocols to help curb the virus infestation.




Dr. Kumah Aboagye also gave updates on the recent outbreak at the Achimota while stressing the need for safety protocols as he says the cases in the school are under management.
