Ghanaians Clamor Over One Tiny Tomato Costing GHc2.00 (Screenshots)

Some scores of social media users have expressed worry over the recent price of tomatoes sold in the markets.

According to them, the new price has left them in a state of shock.

A social media enthusiast posted a tiny tomato, saying it costed him GHc2.00.

His post was further corroborated by other users whose account was either similar or worse than the author of the post making the situation look gloomy.

Many have therefore been wondering why the loud silence from the Agric Minister, Owusu Afriyie Akoto who in few weeks back announced that food is in abundance in the country.

This unimpeachable evidence of one tomato selling at gh2.00 is in sharp contradiction of the Minister’s outburst making people believe that what the Minister said was more of political expediency than the reality.

Many have argued that the price of one tomato in Ghana currently really means Ghana is indeed at a crossroad as was amplified by former President Mahama yesterday.
