Information reaching Thinknewsonline.com indicates that Ghana has recorded two cases each of measles and rubella.
The Director, University Health Services at the University of Ghana, Dr. Mark Frempong in a statement said "The University Health Services (UHS) is therefore bringing this information to the attention of the University Community so that students and staff will be on the lookout for possible cases"
He also charged the public to refer recorded cases to the hospital for appropriate care and management.
Touching on symptoms, he said "With measles, some of the symptoms are; dry cough, running nose, sore throat, inflamed eyes, kopliks' spots and skin rash"
"On Rubella, the symptoms are; sore throat, fever, headache, headache, conjunctivitis, swollen lymph in the neck and cough"
It is emerging that the cases were recorded in the Greater Accra Region.
