The Ghana Immigration Service (GIS) has issued a stern warning to the general public over a fraudulent recruitment portal being circulated online, particularly through the website GOLERNERSHUB.COM, which falsely claims to offer opportunities under a so-called "protocol recruitment" exercise.

According to the GIS, the information being spread is completely false, and the Service has no affiliation with the said website or any individual or group promoting such schemes.

In a press release signed by M. Amoako-Atta, APR, Assistant Commissioner of Immigration and Head of Public Affairs, the GIS categorically dissociated itself from the fraudulent portal, emphasizing that it has not authorized any recruitment drive and has not appointed any third-party platform to conduct recruitment or sell protocol forms on its behalf.

“No official clearance has been given by the Government for any recruitment exercise at this time. Any such announcement circulating through unofficial channels should be treated as a scam,” the statement read.

The GIS further assured the public that authentic recruitment exercises, when approved, will be formally announced through national newspapers and the Service’s official platforms, including its website and verified social media handles.

Mr. Amoako-Atta also disclosed that the GIS Intelligence Section, in collaboration with other state security agencies, is actively investigating the fraudulent activity and pursuing credible leads to apprehend and prosecute the individuals behind the scam.

The public is strongly advised to disregard and report any suspicious communication or solicitation from GOLERNERSHUB.COM or any other unofficial source.

“Anyone who engages with such fraudulent entities does so at their own risk,” he warned.

The Ghana Immigration Service reiterated its commitment to protecting citizens from falling victim to recruitment scams and encouraged the public to remain vigilant and seek information from credible sources only.
