GBAWE: Ten school children drown at Faana

Information reaching Thinknewsonline.com indicates that some ten children have drowned when a boat carrying them from school capsized.

The unfortunate incident occurred on Wednesday at Faana in the Weija Gbawe Municipality, Accra.

It is emerging that the incident occurred around 5pm

Some residents alleged that the boat which was carrying the children capsized as a result of the spillage of the Weija Dam.

Sources say bodies of seven kids have been retrieved from the river in Wiaboman.

Rescue efforts are still ongoing.
