Former NDC Greater Accra Regional Chairman, Ade Coker passes away

Joseph Ade Coker, former Greater Accra Regional Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has died.


Sources close to the family confirmed that he passed away on Saturday, May 31, at the Bank Hospital after a short illness.


The exact cause of death has not yet been officially disclosed.

Ade Coker was a prominent figure within the NDC and known for his firm stance on political and national matters.


He earned deep respect from the party’s grassroots and was widely recognized for his unwavering commitment to the NDC’s ideals.


He first assumed the role of Greater Accra Regional Chairman in 2009 and served three consecutive terms.


His tenure ended in 2022 after he lost his re-election bid to Emmanuel Nii Ashie Moore.


More details are expected to be released by the family and the party in the coming days.
