On 15th July, the office of the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) ended a three week refresher training for its officers in Accra.
It was the second in a series of its in-house training for its Officers for the year 2022. Participants for the training were drawn from different Units and Regional Offices.
The tailor made training dubbed CONCEPT OF INVESTIGATIONS, was to empower officers on new standards of proceedings in investigations and build their capacity in the fight against economic and organised crime.
Speaking at the closing ceremony, Deputy Executive Director, Intel and Monitoring, Ms. Aba J Opoku, urged the beneficiary officers to apply the knowledge they have gained during the period of training to their work at their various stations.
Executive Director, COP Maame Tiwaa Addo-Danquah, in her speech stated that she was keen on providing tailor made training for Officers because they require special training in order to be well equipped to work and achieve maximum productivity.
She assured the Officers of the inclusion of a health talk in subsequent training programs to help them better manage the stress they face in their daily work.
She also thanked the Officers for availing themselves to be taught and reiterated the need for them to apply and share the knowledge and skills they acquired when they go back to their various stations.
