#EndSARS:"You Are An ECOWAS Chairman, Do Something" - Social Media Users To Akufo-Addo (Screenshots)


Some Ghanaian Celebrities and scores of social media users have taken to their Twitter handles calling on President Akufo-Addo to step in as the Chairman of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) to find a lasting solution to end the beatings of citizens by the police in Nigeria.


According to them, whatever is happening in Nigeria is serious adding actions must be taken to curb the crisis.

On Twitter, a user said "Mr President @NAkufoAddo you are the Chairman of the ECOWAS. What is going on in Nigeria is a serious matter, Ghana could be affected too. Do something! #EndPoliceBrutalityinNigeraNOW #EndSARS"


Sandra Ankobiah said "The silence of other African leaders with regards to what is going on in Nigeria, is LOUD!!! Mr. President, Nana Akufo-Addo please show some empathy. Please show the Nigerian youth that you care. Please show some authority as the Head of ECOWAS. Thank you"

Media Personality, Nana Aba Anamoah also said "Nana Akufo-Addo nothing on NIGERIA from ECOWAS?"


The Parliamentary Candidate (PC) for Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency, John Dumelo tweeted "The shooting of protesters in Lekki is wrong! The power of the youth can't be underestimated....the power of the people is greater than the people in power! #EndPoliceBriutalityinNigeriaNOW"
