The Managing Director of the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG), Samuel Dubik Mahama, has tendered his resignation, citing personal reasons and operational challenges within the company.
His unexpected departure comes at a critical time as ECG grapples with power distribution inefficiencies and rising public scrutiny over electricity tariffs.
Mahama, who took office in May 2022, was known for his efforts to streamline operations and address revenue mobilization issues.
His resignation has left stakeholders concerned about the future leadership of the company.
The ECG Board is expected to announce an interim replacement soon, as the search for a permanent Managing Director begins.
