DStv introduces four new packages, reduces subscription prices

DStv has announced four new subscription packages in Ghana, with monthly fees ranging from GH¢50 to GH¢570, giving customers more options based on their budgets and entertainment preferences.

According to DStv, the new packages are designed to cater to different viewing needs, offering varying selections of television channels, sports content and premium entertainment.

The packages were unveiled at a joint press briefing involving the Ministry of Communications, Digital Technology and Innovation and MultiChoice Ghana on Monday, October 26.

Speaking at the event, MultiChoice Ghana Country CEO, Alex Okyere, outlined the four subscription options, which are scheduled to take effect on November 5.

The Starter Pack, priced at GH¢50 per month, is the most affordable option and provides access to 90 channels.

The Select Pack, which costs GH¢100 monthly, offers subscribers a wider selection of 123 channels.

For sports enthusiasts, the Sports Pack is available at GH¢250 per month, with football coverage alongside channels offered under the Starter and Select packages.

At the top end is the Ultimate Pack, priced at GH¢570 monthly. It combines entertainment programming with premium sports coverage for subscribers seeking a broader viewing experience.

DStv says the revised package structure gives customers greater flexibility to choose a subscription that matches their financial capacity and content preferences.

The introduction of the four packages marks a new pricing and content offering for the Ghanaian pay-TV market, with subscribers able to select from lower-cost options to a premium package featuring entertainment and sports.
