The Leadership of Gane For Ghana, an Independent Political Party says it is disappointed in the country's Electoral Commission (EC) for disqualifying its Flagbearer, Maurice Kofi Gane from contesting in the upcoming December 7 Presidential elections.
According to the group, the country deserves a better agenda adding its candidate was the best option to deliver.
In a press release sighted by ThinkNews Online, it said "We are disappointed in the Electoral Commission's decision to disqualify Maurice Kofi Gane, Independent Aspirant-Ghana Deserves Better Agenda, for the upcoming 2020 Presidential election"
The release further explained that the party filed its nomination forms on October 8th, 2020 which was within the stipulated time frame required by the Electoral Commission (EC).
It further mentioned that neither Mr. Gane nor party member was called upon to check any discrepancies concerning their filing to allow them to correct any anomalies.
The Gane4Ghana party says it remains committed to the Ghana Deserves Better Agenda and will do all within its power to get on the ballot to allow Ghanaians to decide the way forward on election day.
