COVID-19: 2020 Eid-ul-Fitr Celebration Goes Virtual, Scheduled For Sunday


News reaching Thinknewsonline.com indicates that this year's Eid-ul-fitr celebration will be held virtually on Sunday.


The celebration which will be led by the National Chief Imam, Sheikh Dr Osman Nuhu Sharubutu will have President Akufo-Addo and Veep, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia as special guest.


The celebration follows this pattern due to the directive from President Akufo-Addo banning all social gathering activities in the country.


Thinknewsonline.com is learning that the celebration will be held at the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation (GBC) and aired live at 9am.


The ofice of the National Chief Imam says it is appealing to the Muslim Community in the country to cope with the virtual celebration adding he is hopeful, a cure will be found soon.


It is also emerging that President Akufo-Addo will use the opportunity to deliver his Eid message to the Muslim community in Ghana.
