"Communication Mast Collapses On GRIDCo Towers" - GRIDCo (PICS)

The Ghana Grid Company Limited (GRIDCo) says it is sad to announce the collapse of its communication mast on its GRIDCo Towers near Bogoso in the Western Region.

According to GRIDCo, the unfortunate incident has affected the national power system and may result in some load management.

In a statement signed by its Corporate Communications and sighted by Thinknewsonline.com, it said " On Tuesday, November 9, 2021, a communication mast collapsed and fell on the 330kV Aboadze-Kumasi Transmission line, resulting in the collapse of two adjacent towers. The incident happened near Bogoso in the Western Region"

The statement also noted that GRIDCo is working around the clock to replace the fallen towers within the shortest possible time.

GRIDCo further stressed that it is committed to maintaining a stable network for reliable and effective power delivery.

"We apologise for any inconvenience caused", the statement concluded.
