The Coastal Development Authority (CODA) has inspected developmental projects in the Ningo Prampram Constituency, in the Greater Accra Region.
According to CODA, it is in line with its mandate in accelerating socio-economic development in the 109 constituencies within the Coastal Development Zone.
Ongoing projects are targeted at improving drainage, educational, and health infrastructure in Ningo Prampram.
There is an ongoing construction of a 0.6 Meter U-drain at EMEFS Estate in Afienya Mataheko, as well as 0.9 and 0.6 drains in the same community.
At Afienya Zongo, the monitoring team inspected a 3-unit classroom block with ancillary facilities while at Laplaku they visited the site of the ongoing construction of a clinic with a 2-unit Nurse’s accommodation complex.
A community-based health and planning services (CHPS) compound is being constructed at Ahwiam while Kotobabi Minya benefits from the construction of a CHPS compound with a 2-unit Nurse’s accommodation complex.
These developmental projects are funded by the Government of Ghana under the Infrastructure for Poverty Eradication Programme (IPEP), also known as the one million dollars per constituency initiative.
The Programme allocates one million dollars or its cedi equivalent to each constituency annually for special projects aimed at accelerating economic and social development.
