Founder of Citizen Eye Ghana, Alex Kwaku Tetteh, has made a passionate appeal to delegates and the media to rally behind New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential hopeful, Kennedy Agyapong, as the party heads toward its primaries in January.
Speaking at a press briefing, Mr. Tetteh detailed what he described as Kennedy Agyapong’s bold vision for Ghana, with a strong emphasis on agriculture as a key tool to revive the economy.
He believes that under an Agyapong-led administration, the country’s fortunes can be transformed through strategic investment in agribusiness.
Addressing the media, Mr. Tetteh urged journalists to amplify the campaign message of Kennedy Agyapong, assuring them that a future government under his leadership would not sideline the media.
"The media will play a critical role in national development under Kennedy’s presidency,” he said.
He also took aim at former NPP flagbearer Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, stating that the Vice President has, in his words, “lost credibility” in the eyes of many Ghanaians.
On party unity, Mr. Tetteh expressed confidence that Kennedy Agyapong’s leadership would restore harmony within the NPP.
He hinted at the possible return of key figures such as Paul Afoko and Alan Kyerematen, who have previously distanced themselves from party activities.
He concluded by calling on delegates across the country to throw their support behind Kennedy Agyapong in the upcoming primaries, describing him as the candidate best positioned to restore trust, boost the economy, and unify the party.
The briefing also highlighted plans by Kennedy Agyapong’s campaign team to deploy a robust internal election security taskforce to ensure a peaceful and credible primary process.
