"Buduburam Is No Longer A Refugee Camp" - Nikki Simonas Confirms (VIDEO)

A Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), Nikki Samonas has confirmed that Buduburam Refugee Camp located at Kasoa, a town in the Central Region is no longer a refugee camp.

According to her, the Ghanaian community has accepted the refugees as their own.

Speaking on an Accra-based television station, Nikki said "Buduburam is no longer a refugee camp, Ghana has accepted the refugees as Ghanaian citizens The Liberians living there can now be described as Ghanaians.

She also revealed that the country however has four (4) refugee camps adding those camps are catering for the inmates.
