Bono East: Thank You Tour Starts Today As Mahama Calls For Justice For Victims Of Election Violence


Former President John Mahama has assured the people of Bono East Region that the perpetrators of the various election violence which occurred in 2020 will be investigated, arrested, and dealt with.


According to him, crime has no expiry date adding that the level of insecurity in the nation has contributed to such happenings.

Mr. Mahama also sighted some cases of violence from the killing of a young graduate during the Voter’s ID card registration period to killings during the elections and collation and recently the Ejura riots.


He said "Even if the president keeps a blind eye on all these, the NDC will make sure the families involved are properly compensated"

The assurance by the Former President has been described as emotional following the shooting incident which claimed the innocent lives of Abdullah Ayarik and Taajudeen Alhassan.


Mr. Mahama had an engagement with the media from hence paying a courtesy call on the Chief Imam and the Muslim Fraternity and the Catholic Bishops.
