The Communications Officer of Chirano Gold Mine Ltd, Kwabena Owusu-Ampratwum has confirmed a truck a truck under supervision and belonging to contractor, MAXAM has been involved in a ghastly accident on the Bogoso road.
According to Mr. Owusu-Ampratwum, the collision caused an explosion near the town of Bogoso.
In a communique sighted by Thinknewsonline.com, it said " The vehicle was headed to Chirano and approximately 140 kilometres away from the site during the incident"
The Management of Chirano Mines Ltd, says it is closely monitoring the situation and the rescue efforts.
