BABA YARA STADIUM: Police Outlines Security Measures Ahead of Ghana Vs Nigeria World Cup Qualifiers

The Ghana Police Service has outlined some security measures ahead of the Ghana vs Nigeria World Cup Qualifiers slated for March 25 at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.


According to the Police, in ensuring officials of GFA, CAF and FIFA of an incident-free event, it has deployed personnel in and out of the stadium and within the Kumasi Metropolis.


In a statement signed by the Director-General, Public Affairs, ACP Kwesi Ofori, he said "As part of the arrangements, there will be an additional deployment of Highway and Motorbike Patrols to augment the existing security deployment along all the eight (8) entry routes into Kumasi and other adjourning regions.


"At the Baba Yara Sports Stadium, the Motor Traffic and Transport Department (MTTD) has made adequate provisions to ensure effective traffic management.
