Atta Mills Institute Donates Food Stuffs To YOA Disability Foundation In Memory Of Late Prez (Video)

As part of its coperate and social responsibilities, the Atta Mills Institute (AMI) on Wednesday July 21, donated food stuffs to the Yaw Owusu Ansah (YOA) Disability Foundation in memory of the Late Former President.

According to the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of AMI, Koku Anyidoho, the gesture was not only in memory of the Late President but to commemorate his 77th birthday.

Speaking at the ceremony, Koku Anyidoho said "If President Mills were alive, he would be celebrating his 77th birthday. Before his demise, he always donated items and cash and therefore, we at the Atta Mills Institute deem it fit to emulate his good gesture on every July 21st to commemorate him"

He explained that the AMI team chose the YOA Charity Foundation following a plea from its head, Auntie Benedicta on an Accra-based radio station calling for support from Philantropists to lend a helping hand to the needy children.

"I listen to Auntie Benedicta and her group every Saturday, talking about YOA Disability Foundation and Cerebral Palsy. Infact you are the one who made me research on the ailment. I never knew it really existed"

He also mentioned that the gesture was to congratulate the mothers for the work they are doing for the children.

"For you to be mothers for these ones, it takes a lot of commitment, dedication and hard work"

He assured the mothers that God will continue to strengthen then to continue to cater for the children suffering from Cerebral Palsy.

The Atta Mills Institute pledged that it will be an integral part of the YOA Disability Foundation.

"As Founder and CEO of the Atta Mills Institute, I stand in the name of God Almighty, do declare our support for the YOA Disability Foundation and we pledge that as and when we are able to mobilise, it doesn't even have to be 21st July, we come and help you" he added.

Receiving the donation, Head of the YOA Charity Foundation, Auntie Benedicta commended the Atta Mills Institute for the beautiful gesture

"We are blessed to have your Institute join us. We are grateful. On behalf of the Founder, we say thank you"

The YOA Disability Foundation also presented a citation as a sign of their appreciation to the beautiful gesture demonstrated by the Atta Mills Institute.
