ASSIN NORTH: Wontumi plays politics, bribes family of late NDC organiser with 50 bags of cement

Some scores of NDC faithful in the Assin North Constituency have expressed disappointment in NPP and Chairman Wontumi over attempts to play politics with the death of its branch women's organiser.

According to the NDC supporters, Chairman Wontumi paid a visit to the bereaved family of the NDC branch women's organiser and promised to support them with Fifty (50) bags of cement, GHc5000 among other building materials.

In a video sighted by Thinknewsonline.com, Chairman Wontumi said "I am here alongside, Charles Opoku and we are pledging 50 bags of cement, roofing sheets and GHc5000 among others to the bereaved family.

It will be recalled that the late branch women's organiser lost her life after a pick-up ran over some NDC supporters who were embarking on a walk.

It is emerging that the move by Chairman Wontumi and Charles Opoku are capitalising on the situation to win votes of the NDC family for the NPP.

The deceased was said to be putting up a building until she met her untimely death.
