Armed Robber Killed In Kumasi Over GHc 800 (Pictures)


A mob has lynched an alleged armed robber at Makro, a suburb of Kumasi, the capital of Ghana’s Ashanti Region.

The suspected robber has been identified as Awuni. He is alleged to have gone to rob a business woman named Dorothy, taking an amount of Ghc 800 from her.

Information available to African Entertainment indicates that he robbed her at knife-point at the Makro Presbyterian school.

According to an eyewitness report, Awuni threatened to slash Dorothy daughter’s throat if she refused to empty her bag.

Dorothy yielded to the demand of Awuni and gave all the GHC 800 as well as her mobile phone to him.

“Dorothy after Awuni gave back her daughter started shouting for help. The civilians started chasing him and arrested him at the Pipe Junction. The group caned and lynched him to death”, an eyewitness said. Police in Kumasi are said to be investigating the mob justice.
