"All Contracts Associated With Agenda 111 Were Legally Granted" - Information Minister (VIDEO)


Ghana's Minister for Information, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah has rubbished claims by some members of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) saying all contracts associated with Agenda 111 were legally granted.


According to Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, all contracts went through the appropriate channels adding that there is nothing fraudulent about it.




Addressing Journalists on Sunday, the Information Minister said "We have noticed deliberate politically -motivated claims of impropriety being cooked up against the project. This includes a recent claim by the MP for North Dayi that the project was illegally awarded. Government assures the public that all the contracts associated with the project were legally granted in accordance with approval from the Public Procurement Act.”


The Information Minister who doubles as the Member of Parliament for Offoase Ayirebi Constituency hinted that Agenda 111 forms part of measures to ensure that the Akufo-Addo government provides the populace with quality health care.




Thinknewsonline.com has gathered that each hospital under the Agenda 111 is expected to cost the country a little over $16 million.
